About me:
I support Be The Match, formerly the National Marrow
Donor Program (NMDP).
Good fortune provided me the opportunity to be
a two-time bone marrow donor. Sheryl Sowa was
the recipient of my bone marrow in 1995. Here is a video including
footage taken at Sheryl and Joe's wedding. Here is a story my wife
wrote about the experience attending their
wedding. The Houston Chronicle wrote a front page story about me that
appeared on Christmas Day 2000. It was the
final piece on a series about giving.
I am a volunteer Marrow Courier and travel to
pickup and deliver life saving marrow and stem
cells from donor centers to patients around
the world.
